Not getting E-mail reminders

I'm not getting any event reminders that I've subscribed to. However, I do get test reminders when I check the "Send a reminder right now, to make sure it works." option. All my requests are being added to the email_reminders.xml file. Any idea why I'm not getting scheduled notifications?

Environment: Version 7.6.1 installed, on a Windows 2000 IIS server, with Perl 5.6.1.

Reminders are only sent out when the email_reminders.cgi script runs. Do you have it set up so this script runs automatically every so often?

Yes, the script is setup to run every 5 mins. If I'm getting the "Send a reminder right now..." E-mails, shouldn't I also be getting scheduled reminders, or is that a wrong assumption?

Your assumption is correct. Very Happy

You should be getting the scheduled reminders.

But if you're still seeing the entries in the email_reminders.xml file, it means they are not being sent out (those entries are deleted after being sent). You may need to double-check that your 5-minute script is running correctly.

I just created a new event for March 1. I then requested to be reminded 1 day before the event, and also checked the box for the immediate reminder. The email_reminders.xml file was updated, and I got the immediate reminder. Will let you know if I get the scheduled reminder. I'm no programmer, but here's what my batch file looks like.

@echo off
Rem - Batch file to launch email_reminders.pl
Start "email_reminders.pl"
End

Any suggestions/corrections to the batch file will be appreciated.

I just received my first automated scheduled reminder!
It was a "1 day before" event reminder, time stamped 2:49pm.

1) How is the "1 day before" calculated?

2) Does the time the event was created affect the time of day the reminder is sent?

By-the-way, the reminder I recieved was for an all-day event. I was expecting the reminder to be in my inbox first thing this morning. Once I know how reminder's are calculated, I'll know if my reminder batch file is working correctly.
