I was wondering if anyone had an easy way, or had thought about making a way to attach file(s) to an event?
I am a teacher and am currently using a rigged forum to emulate a calendar, so I can attach their homework files to each event (or post as it is). I have been looking for a nice calendar that has some sort of attachment capabilities. Plans seems one of the best in looks and functions, but doesn't have attachments.
The only other ones with attachments I found were commercial (thyme) or cvs webcalendar (which looks bad and isn't setup well to do attachments) so they aren't useful..
Just curious is anyone else had thought about this for Plans. |

You're right - Plans doesn't currently support attachments. Such support may be added in the future, but not the short-term future.
Plans does offer automatic links to files/pages. If the event details contain just an URL, the event will link straight to the target (no pop-up window). However, this is probably not really what you want. You want the pop-up window, but with one or more links inside it, right?
The tricky bit with supporting attachments is providing a way to manage them. Right now, events in Plans stick around forever. Attachments that are stored forever may cause space issues.
