Yep, plenty of thoughts about that
Hopefully it'll get done sometime. No ETA, but probably before the end of this year.

Someone posted that they'd like Plans to generate a feed that Google calendar could read. I'd actually like the opposite. I'd like the ical import to be tightened up so I can import a Google calendar.
The way I look at it is Plans provides something obvious but missing from Google calendar. Anyone with a web browser can view calendars, no need to sign up. Maybe I want to keep some kind of personal calendar in Google. I could export it to my public plans calendar via the url and "show busy times only." Perfect synergy. |

I agree - google calendar import is just as important (maybe more) than export.
When you try to use a google calendar iCal url in Plans, what errors do you get?

I get:
| Quote: | Software error:
Month '-1' out of range 0..11 at plans_lib.pl line 2206
For help, please send mail to the webmaster (dbindner@truman.edu), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

If I change that line to remove the -1, then I get this:
| Quote: | Software error:
Day '' out of range 1..31 at plans_lib.pl line 2206
For help, please send mail to the webmaster (dbindner@truman.edu), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. |

Thanks for the test URL. The just-released version 7.7 fixes the "Month '-1' out of range" error (Plans wasn't handling the "DURATION" vCalendar field).
Give it a try, let me know how it looks. There's still an issue with linking to the google calendar (events when clicked on still pop up a window without much content). I'll work on improving this.

| Yes, that works much better now. I did notice that one event that was created as a MWF event doesn't import correctly. Only the first meeting time shows up. I suppose that's because Plans doesn't support those kinds of event recurrences in general. |
